Welcome each new owner, and let them choose

Give every new owner the same three-week welcome, timed from the day you add them, ending with the choice in their hands.

What this helps you do

A Journey is a sequence of messages timed from when each person joins, so everyone gets the same welcome no matter when they connect. Message one goes out immediately or on the day you choose for that person, and the rest follow on your schedule. Each person has their own clock.

When to use it

Use it for the owner welcome after delivery, an orientation for a customer who just started servicing with you, or a follow-up for everyone who joined at a clinic or a demo day.

How to do it

  • Open Campaigns and choose New Journey.
  • Pick the audience that enrolls people: anyone added to it begins the Journey from the first message.
  • Write the steps in order and set when each sends: immediately after joining, or a number of days later, optionally at a specific time.
  • If people are already in the audience, choose whether to start the Journey for all of them or only for people who join from now on.
  • Activate the Journey. The page shows who is at which step, who completed it, and who left early.

Example

The Owner Welcome starter runs three weeks: a welcome the day you add them that explains what they can hear about, a day-two note on how service works and who to ask for, a day-seven note on the parts counter and what to bring, a day-fourteen look at owner updates, clinics and demo days with a pointer to those interests, and a day-twenty-one reminder that they control what reaches them and that you would like to be the first place they look next time. A customer who takes delivery of a truck in March and one who buys a pontoon in July each get the full sequence from their own start, and a customer who is still on email gets it by email until they connect.

Good to know

  • The Hub does not know who bought what. You start the welcome: run it on an audience you assign at delivery, such as a closed new-owners list, or enroll each owner explicitly, and the sequence is timed from that day.
  • If a customer leaves the audience their remaining messages stop; rejoining does not automatically restart a finished sequence.
  • A Journey is timed from the day you add someone, never from a delivery date, an hours reading or a service interval the Hub would have to know, and it never changes their interests for them: each step points the customer at the preferences page and a person who answers.
  • Connect your website form to the inbound webhook and new customers can join without anyone touching the Hub. There is no connector to a dealer management system or a CRM that does this for you.
  • Journeys are part of Hub Pro, which unlocks at $500 in cumulative credit purchases for any organization. Until then the page shows your progress toward it, and Content Series is available now.
