Set up RetailBlasts for your store

Get your profile, timezone, sending address and the customer preferences page ready before the first push.

What this helps you do

Setup gets your store ready to send: your profile and branding, your timezone and interface language, the store-controlled Blasts account, your email sending address, and the preferences page where customers choose what they hear about. A new store sets all of this up through onboarding; credits bought on BlastCredits and tied to your store fund sending and count toward Hub Pro.

When to use it

Do this once before you invite anyone, and revisit it if you open a second location, change your website, or change who holds the account.

How to do it

  • Sign in at /hub/signin/ with an email code, a passkey, or Sign in with Blasts, then open Settings.
  • Enter your store name and website so your logo and colors can be captured automatically.
  • Set your timezone and country so a 10 a.m. what-is-new note actually goes out at 10 a.m. where your customers are.
  • Choose your interface language. Customers choose their own language on their preferences page.
  • Confirm the store-controlled Blasts account: a mailbox on your own domain (not an owner's personal Gmail), which is the root of ownership and recovery. Publish the DNS TXT record Settings shows you to verify the domain, and leave it published.
  • Check Email sending: the Hub provisions a sending address for you. The weekly digest for customers who are still on email goes out on Tuesday at 10 a.m. local for a new store; change the day and hour there. Every new Hub starts with 50 email credits.
  • Copy the customer preferences link into your newsletter welcome and onto the counter card; that is where each customer chooses which interests they hear about, and where someone still on email can pick a weekly digest instead of every message.
  • Decide on auto-accept. Off, each customer who enters your code is a request you accept on Customers; on, they are connected the moment they join. A manager's or buyer's Blasts go out without an administrator's approval for a new store; turn approval on in Settings if you want a review first.

Example

Before the first push the owner enters the store name and website, and the Hub pulls the logo and colors so every Blast looks like the shop. She sets the timezone, verifies the domain, leaves approval off so the buyer can send arrivals the morning they land, and puts the preferences link on the counter card so every new customer picks their interests on the day they join.

Good to know

  • The Blasts account belongs to the store, not to one person, so it keeps working when a manager moves on.
  • Add a passkey on Home so step-up confirmations for All Customers sends use Face ID, Touch ID or your device PIN.
  • You can change the interface language anytime; only the Hub chrome changes, never what customers wrote or chose.
  • Setting the Hub up changes nothing in your point of sale, online store or inventory. Keep running sales, stock, orders and event sign-ups where you run them now.
