Email first, Blasts when a participant chooses

People receive by email from the league's own address; delivery moves to Blasts when they connect with the same address.

What this helps you do

Email is where people start. Everyone on your opted-in list receives each message by email from the league's own sending address once Settings shows it verified (until then, from a shared sending address), with nothing installed. When a person connects on Blasts with the same email address, their messages move there on their own. People receiving by email get each message as it goes out, or in a weekly digest if they chose one.

When to use it

This works without you doing anything: it is on from your first send. Visit Settings to check your sending address, pick the weekly digest day, or change the mailbox name.

How to do it

  • Open Settings and find Email sending. The Hub sets up your sending address automatically.
  • The weekly digest goes out Sunday at 19:00 in your timezone by default; change the day in Settings.
  • People choose each message or the weekly digest on their preferences page.
  • Watch email credits on Home. Every new Hub starts with 50.

Example

The field coordinator sends a field change to U12 Division. Parents who haven't connected on Blasts get it as an email from the league's address; those who connected on Blasts with the same address get it there instead.

Good to know

  • One email credit per email sent, including each digest email. Blasts credits and email credits are separate balances.
  • Attached files reach people on Blasts only; people receiving by email need a link.
  • Reply STOP to any email or Blast to stop everything and leave every audience; START turns messages back on, but assigned audiences have to be added back.
