What this helps you do
Sending an announcement delivers your message straight to the phones and computers of the people in the audience you pick. You can send it now or schedule it for later.
When to use it
Use it for timely news: a weather closure, a service-time change, a serve-team reminder, or a Sunday invitation.
How to do it
- Pick an audience, such as Churchwide or Youth.
- Type your message.
- Check the credit estimate shown before you send.
- Choose Send Now or Schedule for later.
- If you are sending Churchwide, confirm with your passkey when asked.
Example
Ice storm on Saturday night. You pick Churchwide, type that Sunday services are cancelled and worship will be online, confirm with your passkey, and Send Now. Everyone connected gets it on their phone within moments.
Good to know
- Sending to Churchwide asks for a passkey confirmation first, so a big send is never an accident.
- The credit estimate shows the cost before you commit: one typed message per person is one credit.
- Scheduling is great for a Saturday-night message written on Friday.
