A Journey is a sequence of messages timed from when each person joins, so everyone gets the same warm welcome no matter when they connect. Message one arrives on day one for that person, then the rest follow on your schedule.
When to use it
Use it for onboarding: a New Member Welcome that introduces your church, shares next steps, and invites people to get involved.
How to do it
- Open Journey.
- Choose the audience that enrolls people, such as New Members.
- Write the messages in order and set how many days after joining each one sends.
- At activation, choose to enroll everyone already in the audience or only people who join from now on.
- Activate the Journey.
Example
Your New Member Welcome journey sends a warm hello on day one, a note about small groups on day three, an invitation to serve on day seven, and a pastor's welcome on day ten. Every new member gets the same thoughtful sequence, starting from their own join date.
Good to know
- Each person starts at message one when they join, so timing is personal to them.
- If someone leaves the audience their remaining messages stop; rejoining does not restart a finished sequence.
