What this helps you do
Your property-management system keeps the lease, the unit, the balance and the work order; your access system keeps the gate and the fobs. The Hub holds only the residents who connected, the buildings and amenities they follow, and what you sent. It holds no balance and no work order, which is why a dues reminder is a message that links to the portal where residents already pay. Whatever the system, the doors are the same four: a CSV export you upload on Connections, the inbound webhook that invites one person at a time, signed outbound events that tell your systems who connected or replied, and the Zapier app when both ends are apps rather than code.
When to use it
Use CSV from an opted-in resident export, usually at the start or after a wave of move-ins. Use the inbound webhook when move-in should invite a resident the day they get the keys. Use outbound events when your own systems should know who connected or moved out. The move-in packet code covers most buildings.
How to do it
- Export the opted-in residents and upload the CSV on Connections.
- Point your move-in or portal signup step at the inbound webhook on Integrations.
- Add your HTTPS endpoint under events out if your own systems should hear about connections and move-outs.
- Ask for the Zapier app to connect the two ends without code.
- Create buildings, floors and amenities as audiences by name in the Hub. They are property data, and nothing imports them for you.
Example
An operator uploads its opted-in resident list and puts the code in the move-in packet. When the water goes off at eight, one Blast reaches Building B and the office answers in Conversations. The lease, the balance and the work order never left the property-management system.
