What this helps you do
A Journey is a sequence of messages timed from when each person joins, so every new donor, volunteer or member gets the same thoughtful welcome no matter when they arrive. Message one arrives on day one for that person, then the rest follow on your schedule.
When to use it
Use it for a New Donor Welcome that thanks the first gift, introduces your mission, shares early impact, and invites deeper involvement; for a New Volunteer orientation; or for a New Member welcome.
How to do it
- Open Journey.
- Choose the audience that enrolls people, such as Donors.
- Write the messages in order and set how many days after joining each one sends.
- At activation, choose to enroll everyone already in the audience or only people who join from now on.
- Activate the Journey.
Example
Your New Donor Welcome thanks the first gift on day one, shares your mission on day three, tells a real impact story on day seven, and invites the donor to become a monthly supporter on day fourteen. Every new donor is stewarded the same way, starting from their own gift date.
Good to know
- Each person starts at message one when they join, so the welcome is personal to them.
- If someone leaves the audience their remaining messages stop; rejoining does not restart a finished sequence.
