What this helps you do
A Content Series is a set of different prewritten messages that go out on a schedule you choose: daily, weekdays, weekly, or on specific dates. You write each message ahead of time and the Hub delivers them in order. A resident who connects midway gets the current message, never the backlog.
When to use it
Use it for the municipal calendar that is already known: the weekly collection reminder, the leaf or brush collection run, a season of hydrant flushing by zone, the weekly construction update while a street is torn up, the run of notices before a budget cycle.
How to do it
- Open Campaigns and choose New Content Series.
- Pick the audience it goes to, such as Sanitation & Collection or a single route.
- Set the schedule and time, for example weekly on Sunday evening before Monday collection.
- Paste or type the messages, one per line, or pin a message to an exact date such as the holiday week.
- Review the calendar and Activate. Pause, resume or add more messages anytime; the Hub warns you when the series is running low.
Example
Public works maps a summer of hydrant flushing zone by zone and writes twelve short notices, one per week, each naming the streets for that week and what residents may notice in the water. The series runs all summer while the crew is out working, and a resident who connects in July gets that week's notice, not June's.
Good to know
- Each message in the series is different, and you write them all in advance. Sent messages are permanent history; edits only affect messages that have not gone out yet.
- A paused series skips the dates it missed rather than catching up, so a week off does not double up afterwards.
- Every step is a normal message: one credit per resident reached, with the email leg for residents who chose email.
- Content Series is included from the start. Journeys and Event Campaigns are Hub Pro.
- A scheduled series is a convenience, not a publication of record. If a notice must appear somewhere by law, publish it there too.
