What this helps you do
Setup gets your league ready to send: your profile and branding, your timezone and interface language, the league-controlled Blasts account, your email sending address, and the preferences page where families choose what they receive. A new league sets all of this up through onboarding, and the Hub activates with its first credit purchase from BlastCredits.
When to use it
Do this once before registration opens, and revisit it if your website, timezone or board turnover changes who holds the account.
How to do it
- Sign in at /hub/signin/ with an email code, a passkey, or Sign in with Blasts, then open Settings.
- Enter your league name and website so your logo and colors can be captured automatically.
- Set your timezone and country so a 5 p.m. Friday reminder actually goes out at 5 p.m. at the park.
- Choose your interface language. Families choose their own language on their preferences page.
- Confirm the league-controlled Blasts account: a mailbox on your league's own domain (not a commissioner's personal Gmail or a role address), which is the root of ownership and recovery. Publish the DNS TXT record Settings shows you to verify the domain, and leave it published.
- Check Email sending: the Hub provisions a sending address for you, and you can pick the weekday your weekly digest goes out. Every new Hub starts with 50 email credits.
- Copy the members portal link into the registration confirmation; that is where each family picks Blasts, email or both and their divisions.
- Turn on auto-accept for registration season, and decide whether a coach's Blasts need an administrator's approval.
Example
Before February registration the commissioner enters the league name and website, and the Hub pulls the logo and colors so every Blast looks like the league. She sets the timezone, verifies the domain, turns on auto-accept, and puts the portal link in the confirmation email so families set their preferences on the day they register.
Good to know
- The Blasts account belongs to the league, not to one person, so it keeps working when the board turns over.
- Add a passkey on Home so step-up confirmations for Everyone sends use Face ID, Touch ID or your device PIN.
- You can change the interface language anytime; only the Hub chrome changes, never what families wrote or chose.
