What this helps you do
Setup gets your company ready to send: your profile and branding, your timezone and interface language, the company-controlled Blasts account, your verified domain, your email sending address, and the portals employees use to manage what they receive. A new company sets all of this up through onboarding, and the Hub activates with its first credit purchase from BlastCredits.
When to use it
Do this once when you first start, and revisit it if your website, timezone or work email domain changes, or when you want to turn on the employees portal or leader approval.
How to do it
- Sign in at /hub/signin/ with an email code, a passkey, or Sign in with Blasts, then open Settings.
- Enter your company name and website so your logo and colors can be captured automatically.
- Set your timezone and country so a 6:30 a.m. shift reminder actually goes out at 6:30 a.m. at the plant.
- Choose your interface language. Employees choose their own language on their preferences page.
- Confirm the company-controlled Blasts account: a mailbox on your own domain (not a personal Gmail or a role address), which is the root of ownership and recovery. Publish the DNS TXT record Settings shows you to verify the domain, and leave it published.
- Check Email sending: the Hub provisions a sending address on a subdomain for you, and you can pick the weekday your weekly digest goes out. Every new Hub starts with 50 email credits.
- Turn on the Employees portal and enter your work email domain; only addresses on that domain can sign in to it. The members portal link is where each employee picks Blasts, email or both and their audiences.
- Decide whether a Leader's Blasts need an administrator's approval, and whether connection requests are auto-accepted.
Example
When you start, you enter the company name and website, and the Hub pulls the logo and brand color so notices look like they came from your company. You set the timezone for headquarters, verify the domain, and turn on auto-accept for the rollout week so employees are connected the moment they join.
Good to know
- The Blasts account belongs to the company, not to one person, so it keeps working as HR and IT staff come and go.
- Add a passkey on Home so step-up confirmations for All Employees and Emergency sends use Face ID, Touch ID or your device PIN.
- You can change the interface language anytime; only the Hub chrome changes, never what employees wrote or chose.
