What this helps you do
Blasts lets your church message people directly, with their permission. Each person installs the free Blasts app once and connects to your church. After that, your announcements arrive right on their phone or computer, clearly marked as from your church.
When to use it
Start here first. Do a connection push whenever you have your people together or in front of a screen: a Sunday service, a new-member class, a ministry sign-up, or an email to the whole church.
How to do it
- Open Connections in your Hub.
- Share your church's QR code or connect link (blasts.app/connect/your-id) so people can scan or tap it.
- Each person installs the free Blasts app (Chrome or Edge extension on a computer, or the iPhone or Android app) and approves the connection.
- You can also send someone a one-click connection request; they approve it and land in your Connections.
- Click Sync connections anytime to pull in the latest people.
Example
On Sunday you put the QR code on the sanctuary screen and in the printed bulletin. During announcements you ask everyone to scan it and tap Connect. By Monday morning your Connections list has grown, and you Sync connections to see them all.
Good to know
- Import columns: your file needs an email column. The Hub also recognizes name, first name, last name, phone, address, city, state or province, ZIP/postal code, country, manager, department, team, birthday, household, and interests (a column headed audiences, tags, groups or lists works too). Other columns are kept with the person's record but aren't shown in the Hub yet.
- It is permission-based: people opt in, and they can mute or disconnect anytime, no hard feelings.
- Ministry leaders can share the same link or QR with their own groups to grow connections faster.
- People only need to install the app once; after that connecting to your church takes a few seconds.
