What this helps you do
A Content Series is a publication's editions written ahead of time and released on the schedule you set: daily, weekly, monthly or on specific dates. It runs on one audience, which for a publisher is the publication. Each edition is different; the Hub releases them in order. A reader who subscribes midway receives the next edition, never the backlog.
When to use it
Use it for a publication with a steady rhythm: a weekly letter written a month ahead, a daily tip written a season ahead, a monthly recipe edition planned for the year.
How to do it
- Open Campaigns and choose New Content Series. Name it after the publication.
- Pick the publication's audience.
- Set the schedule and the time, for example Sundays at 7 a.m.
- Paste the editions one per line, or pin an edition to an exact date.
- Review the calendar and Activate. Pause, resume or add editions anytime; the Hub warns you when a series is running low.
Example
In June the editor of a daily tip writes the next sixty tips and loads them as a Content Series on the tip's audience at 8 a.m. Every morning one tip goes out. A reader who subscribes on day 23 receives tip 24 the next morning, not the twenty-three before it.
Good to know
- Series editions are text written in the builder. An edition with images or attached files goes out through Compose, now or scheduled.
- Sent editions are permanent history; edits change only editions not yet sent.
- A paused series skips the dates it missed rather than catching up.
- Content Series is included from the start. Journeys and Event Campaigns are Hub Pro.
