What this helps you do
Every Blast has an email leg. Each connected person chooses how to receive your updates: on Blasts, by email, or both. People who chose email get each Blast individually as it goes out, or as one weekly digest on the day you set. Emails are sent from your organization's own verified sending address on a subdomain the Hub provisions for you, or from the platform's shared sender for your vertical until yours is verified. Replies to those emails land in Conversations like any other reply.
When to use it
This works without you doing anything: it is on from your first send. Visit Settings to check your sending address, pick the weekly digest day, or change the mailbox name.
How to do it
- Open Settings and find Email sending. The Hub sets up your sending address automatically; if it shows pending, check again in a minute.
- Choose the weekday your weekly digest goes out, in your local time.
- Each person picks Blasts, email or both, and each update or weekly digest, on their preferences page.
- Watch email credits on Home. Every new Hub starts with 50, and packs are sold on BlastCredits from $10 for 2,500 up to $100 for 50,000.
Example
A restaurant's regulars mostly use Blasts, but a dozen older customers picked email. When the chef sends Tuesday's specials, those twelve receive it as an email from the restaurant's own address. Three of them chose the weekly digest and get everything in one message on Friday.
Good to know
- One email credit per email sent, including each digest email. Blasts credits and email credits are separate balances.
- Test emails from Send a test to me are free.
- A bounced address is switched back to Blasts-only automatically so you are not charged for dead mail.
- Reply STOP to any email or Blast to pause everything; START turns it back on. No credits are charged for either.
- The sending address (mailbox and subdomain) is editable in Settings; changing it tears down the old one and provisions the new one.
