What this helps you do
Blasts lets your organization message people directly, with their consent. Each person installs the free Blasts app once and connects to your organization by entering your enrollment code or by accepting your connection request. After that, your Blasts arrive on their phone or computer, clearly marked as from you. Nobody is ever added to a list: the Hub detects the right path for each person automatically. Someone already on Blasts gets a request in their app; someone who is not gets your invitation email with the code and instructions.
When to use it
Start here. Do a connection push whenever your people are together or in front of a screen: a weekly gathering, an onboarding session, a checkout counter, a game day, a staff meeting, or a mailing to your whole list.
How to do it
- Open Connections in your Hub. Click Sync connections once so your enrollment code is published.
- Share the code and the QR code: put them on slides, signage, receipts, your website, sign-up forms, or print the enrollment kit.
- Each person installs Blasts (the phone app, or the browser extension on a computer), opens Settings, enters your code and taps Join.
- To invite one person by email, use Invite one person: if they are on Blasts they see a request to approve; if not, they receive your invitation email and the Hub keeps checking until they connect.
- To invite many at once, paste a list of emails or upload a CSV. Each address is checked on Blasts, and invitations are spread out at up to 200 a day so they never look like cold mail.
- Accept each request under People who want to connect, or turn on auto-accept in Settings so people are connected the moment they join.
- Click Sync connections anytime to pull in the latest people.
Example
A gym puts the QR code on the front desk and the code on the class schedule. Members scan it between classes; by the end of the week the Connections list has grown. The owner uploads the member CSV for everyone who did not scan, and over the following days those people receive an invitation email with the code. Anyone who already had Blasts simply approves the request in the app.
Good to know
- Import columns: your file needs an email column. The Hub also recognizes name, first name, last name, phone, address, city, state or province, ZIP or postal code, country, manager, department, team, birthday, household, and interests (a column headed audiences, tags, groups or lists works too). Other columns are kept with the person's record.
- Imports are limited to 5,000 rows and 2 MB per file, with bad addresses, duplicates and dead domains flagged in a preview before anything is sent.
- Connecting is consent-based: people opt in, and they can mute or disconnect anytime, no hard feelings.
- Leaders can share the same code or QR with their own groups to grow connections faster.
- The Reach funnel on Connections shows where everyone stands: known, invited, requested or connected, by channel and by source (code, import, webhook, request, Zapier, connector).
