Security, ownership, and leaving

The organization owns everything. Leaving takes one confirmation and emails a complete export.

What this helps you do

The Hub acts for your organization with its permission and never owns anything. The Blasts account belongs to the organization, rooted in its own mailbox and domain, so it keeps working as staff come and go. Sign-in uses a one-time email code, a passkey, or an approval in the Blasts app, and the actions that matter most ask for a fresh step-up. Leaving revokes the Hub's authority to act for you, stops scheduled Blasts and campaigns, and emails the owner a private link to a complete JSON export of everything you put in.

When to use it

Read this before you connect your organization's Blasts account, when you add team members, and if you ever decide to stop using the Hub.

How to do it

  • In Settings, confirm the organization-controlled email of record and verify your domain once with a small DNS record.
  • On Home, add a passkey so step-up confirmations use Face ID, Touch ID or your device PIN.
  • Store the recovery code: the Hub keeps a sealed copy, delivers it to your mailbox of record on request, and logs every retrieval.
  • To leave: in Settings, download your data, move the Blasts account to your own phone if you want it there, type the organization's name to confirm, and complete the step-up.
  • Open the export link from the email; it works for 30 days, then the copy is deleted.

Example

A club merges with another and no longer needs its Hub. The owner downloads the export, types the club's name, confirms on their phone, and is done. The club's Blasts account, its connections and its credits are untouched; the members keep receiving nothing until the merged organization invites them anew.

Good to know

  • People can mute or disconnect at any time from their own Blasts app, and reply STOP to pause everything.
  • The export contains people, audiences, messages, conversations, campaigns, team and email credit history.
  • Only the owner can leave, and support can reconnect the Hub later if the organization changes its mind.
  • Member-facing pages carry Powered by Blasts attribution, so people always know which channel they connected on.

Do it in your Hub
